拿到驾照两年后再次坐到方向盘后（车是租来的），结果把被我拉来壮胆的副驾帅哥吓个半死。比较dramatic的一晚… 把车还回去以后就再也没见他有好脸色… 伤心啊！

看来我得每次练习开车都抓不同的人。因为我估计没有人愿意坐我开的车多于一次… 问题是，我要这样练习多少次才敢自己独自上路呢？

不迈开第一步，我就永远不能真正成为一个capable driver。因此，即使这个第一次并不顺利，但我还是要自勉一下－－我终于踏出了第一步！

附：当年torture同一位帅哥之后我写的日记。估计他做梦都想不到，两年多后的今天依然被我折磨... 看来我本来就为数不多的朋友都是这样被我一个一个的吓走的。唉，就像那首歌唱的，“我命犯天煞孤星 无伴终老 孤独一生”...

It seems that I would have my road test soon and my driving instructor is taking this weekend off, so I asked Tom to go driving with me today. I was honored by the company of Joe and his bother as well. They must have trusted me enough to be in the car! Oh well, who am I kidding? Joe was just coming to laugh at me, plus he needed Tom to send him home.

We first went to Newton South High School area coz that's where the road test will take place. We wound up and down the small streets for a while, where I practised pull-over, back-up and three-point-turn, etc. Once again I found that Tom was a very prudent and meticulous guy, for he kept correcting my mistakes, big or small. The good thing is that he was very patient and didn't yell at me at all, not like someone. As for Joe, he was grinning the whole time. I threatened to kill him at first. But then I went focusing on my driving, and he was just making faces but not talking, so I let it go after a while.

Then we sent Joe and his brother back to Brookline (the guys were getting VERY bored!). On the way we drove past a lot of streets that we used to drive on for so many times... bringing back lots of memories... Awww how I missed those days!

After dropping the guys off, we went back to Cleveland Circle, where Tom got a haircut from Super Cut. Wow that haircut was FAST! I only had the time to pick a gift bag from CVS across the street, and he was done!

Anyway, after this whole break, we continued the practice where Tom used to practise driving. I am so grateful to Tom for he was willing to spend the whole afternoon driving with me. I thought it would be just an hour or so! Then the sun was setting, so we decided to end the practice.

I felt tired when I got home, but feeling more relaxed towards driving. It was really helpful. I'd like to thank you guys for spending the time with me. I enjoyed the driving and the hanging out. Hope I will get my license REAL soon and show you people!

自戒internet social networking的活动整四个星期了，转眼间春季学期都快结束了，上来向大家问个好。

Rehab的结果：Facebook，我的确老老实实一次都没有登录；而Window Live呢，前两个星期都能忍得住，后来的两个星期则偶尔登录看看大家的update，没能完全戒掉。其他的instant messenger (Windows Live Messenger, Google Talk, AIM)，也都很乖的没有登录。总的效果我还是满意的，至少我相信从今以后我能戒掉每天强迫症似的check social network websites。至于这个对personal life的impact...不知道会不会有正面的作用。

Rehab期间总要寻找事情填补生活中的空白(yeah, I'm really pathetic, I knew that even before I voluntarily started rehab)，在交际圈子没有扩大(even可以说在慢慢缩小)的情况下，电视几乎成为了唯一的选择（啊，我已经不知多久没有认认真真看过一本书了）。从这个星期开始正是season finale的高峰期，所以除了在实验室呆着，我的personal time也是满繁忙而充满兴奋和期待的。列数一下我收看的电视剧：

我自知身为一个grad student竟然能看这么多电视剧是一件很不正常的事情...不过也就这么着吧。欢迎有同样恶习的朋友自曝，so that I know I'm not alone... We may even bond over the fondness for the same TV show(s) :P

夏季展望：应该会少看点电视，多点户外活动和社交活动。Heck，我最近sign up了Zipcar，so I might be on the road again (after almost two years of not driving...)~ People driving in Boston should be on the lookout! :P
