I saw the Disney Pixar movie Cars on DVD last night. A really good movie. No wonder it's in the box office Top 10  last year. From the past Disney x Pixar moives, I know this animation would be good in terms of, you know, visual effects. What I didn't expect is that it has something deep, something meaningful, some philosophy about life. At first I thought it was all about flashing cars, which would certainly be attractive to young boys, but probably not to a female adult like me. To my pleasant surprise, the story turns out to be much more than that. I don't want to give out any spoilers here, but here's a trailer to get you interested (i.e., if you have not yet seen the movie). The tagline "life's a journey, enjoy the trip" pretty much concludes the message that the producing crew wants to bring to the audience. And that's definitely something worth ruminating about.

One thing in this movie that I can relate to my own experience is the breath-taking landscape in southwest America. I've overlooked the area from the plane, I've visited some parts of it personally, and I've seen pictures of them on the Daily Photo Blogs. I have to say that this movie has done an excellent job of bringing the scenery to life. Very impressive. To pay my tribute to this great movie, I am pulling from my collection (that's a lot of them!) to show you the landscape pictures of southwest America, which is a really really special place. Enjoy!
