Fay's Shared Items updated: Google launched "click to call"

I decided to pause the "Pets" topics for today and switch to something else.

Check out the Official Google Blog updated today. Isn't that freaking awesome? I wanted to try out this function the minute I read through the post, but too bad I don't have any businesses to call yet. Definitely am gonna try it when the opportunity comes, even I am not so comfortable with talking on the phone with customer services people in English.

Anyhoo, got a take-home exam today so I'd better work on that. Ciao~!

PS. The last part of dogs pictures would come back soon!

Fay's Shared Items updated: Pets We Love -- Dogs (cont.)

What would/could you do if you were a dog?

Of course the easiest thing to do is to pass out -- not necessarily on a bed though~ Better? Know how to beat the heat, or play some "fetch". If you're more of the non-sporty type, you could just lie there and be a doormat(!!). Nowadays dogs enjoy almost as many rights as humans -- they are allowed in some beaches (check out the free-running doggie on a San Diego beach~), as well as going window-shopping~ The most desirable kind of dogs is, of course, the loyal type -- keep your human friends accompanied! And what can smarter dogs do? Drive a car? Or even know how to read signs?

Oh wow, sounds a lot of fun being a dog. If you are not one, don't be upset. At least you could still be their human friends... :P

PS. More upcoming doggies pictures tomorrow. Stay tune!

Fay's Shared Items updated: Pets We Love -- Dogs

Dogs, bigger size or mini size, puppy or veteran, are simply cutie pies. Compared to most cats, they're a lot more outwardly affectionate to people and usually very faithful. (Sorry to cat lovers... I was originally a 100% dog person before I got to know Bella. I admit I'm biased...)

For some reason, there appears to be more pictures of dogs than cats on DP blogs ever since I started collecting pet photos. Therefore series of dog pictures will last for more than one day.

We know how much dog daddies and dog mommies like to dress up their babies. Who's the best dressed/equipped doggie today? You'll be the judge.

And don't forget, come back tomorrow for more cute pictures as well as relevant information for dog lovers.

Fay's Shared Items updated: Pets We Love -- Cats

Yo people~ How was your weekend? Can't believe it's Monday again!

Recently I have found so much comfort from one of my roommate's cats Bella that I decide to do a series for the lovely pets who are indeed man's best friends.

Today we'll start with kitty cats~ Besides those posted by DP bloggers, I'd also like to share with you my own little pet star Bella... No doubt she's one fat lazy attention-loving spoiled cat, but she could be very friendly, sweet and cute too! She definitely has brought a lot of laughter to my apartment. Now she's something that I feel I'm returning home for...

Here is an album of Bella at Picasa:

(Sorry to non-Chinese readers that the captions in the album were all in Chinese, but based on my current group of readers, I think it should be fine for now... If not, please let me know! I'd be happy to come up with English captions~)

And please clike here for a funny video of her at Google Video. (Stupid MSN Space doesn't allow embeded video clips!)

Do you have pets of your own? I'd like to hear about your stories with pets too! Please feel free to leave comments!

Fay's Shared Items updated: what to do for relaxation?

Today's topic is totally triggered by this surprising post by Louis Koo (or whoever helped him to update). I didn't at all expect that his blog entry resembled so much the other Daily Photo Blog entries (except for what he did was not so much of a "daily" activity...), therefore I put it as the first item I'm sharing today. The picture actually captured something that could tell us about Hong Kong daily life, for instance, the white mini van that was cutting in front of the blueish truck (remember they drive on the left side of the street)...

Anyway, excluding dangling your legs at the edge of the top of a building that is at least 30-storey tall, what would you do to relax? Have some yummy ice cream? Pull over your bus (as a bus driver) at the side of the road to get a cup of tea? Simply sit at the seashore staring into the open ocean? Have some surfing fun? Do some reading in a second-hand bookshop? Enjoy your drinks at your favorite location, letting it be a beach, a riverside, or simply a sidewalk cafe? (OK... I sound like Stewie now!) You can find people doing all of the above in today's shared items.

Enjoy your Thursday night~ Friday is almost here!

Fay's Shared Items updated: Honolulu (cont.)

On a Pacific island like Hawaii, the sight of ocean seems inevitable. You just have to admire the ocean's versatility: its peacefulness, mysteriousness, gloriousness, darkness, powerfulness and sometimes even fierceness... With the big blue ocean as a backdrop, the city (buildings), the cliffs, as well as smaller surrounding islands appear so unique that they have become one-of-a-kind. The pictures themselves could probably explain way better than any words combined. Therefore, my friends, do indulge yourself a bit in the magic of ocean and the beautiful city of Honolulu itself!

Fay's Shared Items updated: Honolulu (cont.)

Continue on Honolulu pictures. Today it's whole series of beaches. With beautiful beaches like these, you could go surfing, sky-diving, canoeing, or just doing nothing but sitting on a chair staring at the sea...

The weather in Boston has become way too cold to even just think of being at the beach. Therefore looking at these photos seems kind of weird to me. Anyway, I hope they could bring back the fond memories of yours for a relaxing vacation, or provoke the strong desire to make the next one happen!

    Happy Monday~

    Fay's Shared Items updated: Honolulu

As I've been browsing through all these daily photo blogs for over a month now, there have to be some favorites. The keen eyes and brilliant photographic skills of the photographers are a must for a DP blog to be loved. However, sometimes you just have to admit that the world IS unfair: some of the places are just so beautiful that any photo out of them could be a piece of art. Don't know what I am talking about? I am starting a new series of posts that focus on some of these places, and hopefully you will see what I mean.

Starting today, I will show you Honolulu, the capital of Hawaii, a very famous vacation destination. Be prepared for more breathtaking pictures of beaches and ocean to come in the following days!

PS. All pictures are from Honolulu Daily Photos. Feel free to check out the blog itself if interested!
